Who are Conductor Jack and the Zinghoppers?
Conductor Jack is a guitar-playing, train-loving singer and preschool teacher who loves reading! The Zinghoppers are his puppet friends: DJ Kitty, Oatmeal the Friendly Monster, Bleep the Alien, and NayBob.

We post daily on YouTube. Conductor Jack has a story channel where he posts read-alouds perfect for kids to learn through calming storytime videos. He also appears with his puppet pals on the Zinghoppers songs channel where he posts fun preschool music and singalong songs.
Who is behind Conductor Jack and the Zinghoppers?
We’re a husband and wife team: Kitty and Jack Norton. We’re high school sweethearts and soulmates. Kitty writes the music and voices the puppets. Jack edits the videos. No fancy staff or corporations. Just ma-and-pa. Hehe. Read our story here.
What is your background?
Kitty has a background in Early Childhood Education and worked as a preschool teacher for many, many years. Jack has been a touring folk musician for years.
We even earned an Emmy Award for an original song we composed for PBS Kids in Nashville! Our music has been featured on YouTube Kids, PBS Kids, AFN Family, Trinity Broadcasting Network, and in the Oscar-nominated film The Florida Project (directed by Sean Baker and starring Willem Dafoe).
Do you perform live?
Yes! Conductor Jack performs about 250 concerts every year – fun, interactive dance parties for kids and their families. Check out his tour schedule. And yes, he brings some of his puppet friends from the Zinghoppers in this fun, acoustic solo show.

The Zinghoppers TV Show was first presented by Nashville Public Television and aired on over 100 PBS Kids member stations nationwide and on the The Armed Forces Network’s Family Channel and Trinity Broadcast Network’s Smile of a Child (preschool education channel). The series is now presented on YouTube Kids. Nominated for six regional Emmy Awards, music from The Zinghoppers TV Show was recently heard in the Oscar-nominated film The Florida Project, starring Willem Dafoe and directed by Sean Baker (Anora, Tangerine).
